The Splendor of Old Dhaka
Old Dhaka is the kind of place that overwhelms your senses—in the best way. The streets are packed with rickshaws, vendors, porters, and shoppers, all moving together in what somehow feels like organized chaos.
What I loved most wasn’t just the historic buildings or the famous mosques. It was watching everyday life unfold. A rickshaw driver waiting for passengers, workers carrying impossible loads through narrow streets, sunlight spilling into old alleyways, and markets that seem to have been running the same way for generations.
It’s not a polished city, and that’s exactly what makes it so fascinating. Every corner feels alive, with layers of history mixed into the routines of ordinary people.
